Our Deli in St George, Bristol
Butternut Deli is situated in St George on the outskirts of Bristol, somewhere you really wouldn't expect to find it.
Stocked with an array of local, home baked, & world wide foods to suit any palate. The shop front is filled with a table bowing under the weight of fresh olives, gorgeous bread & local honey. The window is full with hanging dried chilli & Isle of wight garlic bulbs.
Church road often awakens the senses with sweet smells of baking dark ginger cake, spinach & feta tarts, and of course the all time favourite original chocolate brownies!
The kitchen is situated at the back of the shop, and as food leaves the oven its on the table for sale! This is fresh as it gets!
We like to describe the Butternut Deli as the smallest shop in Bristol, however perfectly formed, full of goodies and with a great atmosphere. You can even enjoy a fresh coffee while you are deciding what to buy first.
In April 2010, Phil & Lindy Leahy of Beeses Bar & Tea Gardens bought the Butternut Deli from Lucy Morgan. Lucy had been running the Butternut Deli for five years, but when she told Lindy that she was starting a family, Lindy knew that this was a good opportunity to carry on the work Lucy had started, as the Beeses menu had been developed from similar principles.
